I recently used the ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe for a period of one week. There was a time when I didn’t use smart phones or camera phones. And now I can’t think of a phone without thinking of it as smart and its camera! This post is bout my experiences of using the phone and I am not a techie.
ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe uses the Android platform. Of all the platforms I have used, I like android the most. It is intuitive, it has an app for my every need. Installing and uninstalling any app is easy.

As I landed in various European cities for my weekend trips- Amsterdam, Brussels, Bergen, Kaunas etc, I had to take a decision on how I would approach my spending and site seeing. Should I take them up one by one, pay as I visit or should I invest in a city card (such as I am Amsterdam Card, Brussels Card, Bergen Card etc). After some assessment, I reached a conclusion that these cards are not |

It was a Sunday morning, and we (a group of travel bloggers) were up at 6 am.
Some out of will.
Some at gunpoint.
So who gets up early on a Sunday morning in Goa?
WE of course! ( And all those who feel Goa is beyond the beers and beaches )
To explore all those hidden little beauties this wonderful state has to offer beyond the clichés and stereotypes, we decided to explore Fontainhas, the Latin quarters of Panjim.
Now picture this:

It is not often that we get a chance to have our breakfast or evening tea with peacocks! The Nirvana @ Bekal, situated right next to the historic Bekal Fort and the calm Bekal beach is one such place. I stumbled upon this place as I had no prior bookings and wanted to find a place close to the highway and close to the Bekal fort. I stayed here for one day and one night only, but during that short stay, I liked many things about this place. Below is my detailed review about this hotel property in Bekal.

Yummmm. A good cookbook is so full of hope, no? Like you're gonna have all these amazing meals and be satiated all the way from your toes to your soul. My friend Aparna Jain (the author) gave me this a few weekends ago, all curated family recipes from her home and today, my cook Najma and I are trying out the Mangalorean fish curry. #bookstagram #cooking

Rampur Bushahr is the last capital of the Bushahr or Bashahr dynasty that ruled Shimla & Kunnaur regions for a long time. If you go by legends, they trace their ancestry to Pradyumna – the Son of Lord Krishna. You do see a lot of Vishnu temples in the Bushahr region, so the belief may ...

Built on a sandstone cliff and by the Bay of Bengal, the Tiruchendur Murugan temple is the only of the 6 holy places of worship for Lord Murugan that is not located on top of a mountain or in forests. This is one of those temples that has a number of unique attributes. It is a temple that was untouched by the 2004 tsunami that struck terror in coastal Tamil Nadu. And that too when it is just 50 metres from the sea and when damage occurred at other locations. I have a personal history with this temple as it [...] |

I’ve stayed in about 4 hostels in 4 different European cities so far. The Monk’s Bunk in Kaunas, Lithuania has been the best overall experience so far. Monk’s Bunk is located at the heart of Kaunas city, has lots of open space, a decent size locker which can take a normal backpack, decent kitchen, living room and 2 bathrooms. Bathrooms have lots of accessories like gels, shampoos etc free |

Imagine this scenario: A full moon has just risen in the night sky. Suspended somewhere beneath this magical moonlight, in the bountiful cup of the shadowy night, is the timeless Taj, gleaming in hues of white and silver overlooking the silently twinkling Yamuna River. You stand there, in sheer awe of the moody landscape around you, totally captivated by the beauty of the pristine silence, the magical play of colours that engulfs your entire being. If there is any such thing as paradise, this is it - you hear [...] |

Doors have always fascinated me, and they are even more special whenever I see them in a small village. Here is a photo story of some of the lovely old wooden doors that I saw in a small village near Mehsana in Gujarat.
It was a sizzling hot afternoon and there was barely anyone in the village. As I walked across the village with my camera, the kids got interested in me and followed me wherever I went. When they saw that I was more interested in the doors than in them, they started photo-bombing every [...] |

Junagadh is located at the foot of Jain piligrimage center Girnar Hills. The name when translated to local dialect menas "Old Fort". Another ancient name of the city is "Yonagadh" meaning of "City of the Yona" as this place in the ancient times was inhabited by Greeks under the Indo-Greek Kingdom.
This ancient city was in the control of several dynasties such as Maurya, Solanki, Chudasama. The places of interest we visited here are:

Jakkur Lake in north Bangalore you can come across some colorful birds.
One among them is Purple Swamphen. These birds have bright plumage and red bill and a large frontal shield. They have red eyes.
They prefer wet areas such as swamps, lake edges and damp pastures. They are often seen in pairs and larger communities.
They feed on tender shoots and vegetable-like matter, eggs, small fish. |

That was a comment my cousin made few weeks ago and after reading the post today you will know why that particular comment meant a lot to me.
My cousin was the person who annoyed me the most by constantly reminding me of the importance of family and forgiveness. How I should remember the sacrifices made by my mother and be grateful. She always made me feel like a horrible, ungrateful wretch.
When she was here few weeks ago, my kids were in the kitchen cooking. Each of them sharing the cooking duties [...] |
