"... and the road becomes my bride. I am stripped of all but pride.
So in her I do confide. And she keeps me satisfied.
Gives me all I need and with dust in throat I crave.
Only knowledge will I save. To the game you stay a slave.
Rover wanderer nomad vagabond. Call me what you will...
But I'll take my time anywhere. Free to speak my mind anywhere...
And I'll redefine anywhere. Anywhere I may roam ...
"

What's New?

After very slow progress of documenting a Kashmir trip we did in August 2013, I decided to post the trip log in multiple parts - excited to finally complete it. Part I, which covers Amritsar, Srinagar, Kargil and Sankoo, Part II is Leh, Khardung La and Nubra valley, Part III for Pangong Tso and Part IV, when we travelled to Tso Moriri and Rohtang La, before returning to Chandigarh. In hindsight, we needed a seperate trip and more time dedicated for Srinagar, Zanskar valley - which we had to skip and Nubra valley - where we spent less than a day! Even Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) and Leh town needed more time and a revisit :( Ofcourse, I could spend any number of days at either Pangong Tso or Tso Moriri! Eventually, we were too jaded past Tso Moriri and hardly anything registered!

Yet another solo weekend ride on the Avenger DTSi 220 - this time to Meghamalai and Rajapalayam. It was almost a non-stop 52 hour ride clocking about 1240kms - would definitely rank as one of the craziest bike rides of mine.

Couple of trips to Hogenakkal - after a long time I was there at the right time of the year and managed to take the coracle ride in to the canyon.

It was great to be back on the highway in a 2-wheeler - this time on the new Avenger DTSi 220. I did close to 1000km around Malampuzha, Siruvani, Mannarkad and Attappadi, during a weekend.

Four day solo road trip through Valparai, Athirapally, Eravikulam and Bodimettu. The main aim of the trip was to drive though the ghat road from Aliyar to Valparai, forest road from Valparai to Chalakudy via Sholayar and another ghat section from Munnar to Bodimettu. I could also get a view of the Anamudi peak at Rajamalai, near Munnar.
